We are a diverse working organic farm with 20 years of organic certification. We work as a small team to produce food and outstanding products for discerning customers. Flowers are an integral part of my side of the family. My grandfather, a florist/ grower, and my Dad was a wholesale grower. I have eventually followed in their footsteps.

With my love of flowers and the knowledge from my mother who was a florist, we came upon the idea of working the farm to produce eco-friendly flowers. Nothing was to be added to the soil, no sprays, no fertilizer, nothing but sun and quality manure to grow our blooms. Turning the ground, sowing, and watering of the plants we have transformed the farm into a floral carpet in the Devon hills.

“Flowers are an integral part of my side of the family”

From a fledgling business, we now supply blooms and foliage to florists and wholesale across the UK and are passionate about every plant we grow.

We're based in Whimple, nr Broadclyst.

We are a small scale cut flower farm and floristry business nestling in the beautiful valley of Combeinteignhead only a stone’s throw from the River Teign in South Devon.

Every year we grow thousands of heirloom, scented and unusual varieties of flowers for our customers.  I began my journey into the world of flowers as a keen gardener, as I began to share my flowers with my friends, this led to my first bouquet sales and I realized the power flowers can have – especially locally grown, scented ones!

Going into business with my husband Giles made sense to us, we have a shared love of the outdoors – curating our land for our sons to inherit and working alongside each other allows us to share the workload.  We have three free-range sons who constantly inspire and amaze us every day – we truly believe that we are building something for the future…. a sustainable farm – growing alongside nature

In 2017, we moved into a barn conversion home with nearly three acres of land. in Taunton, Somerset.

I studied RHS Level 2 and Level 3 horticulture diplomas and loved learning and meeting other people with similar interests.

Without developing a horticulture sense from growing up around plants and not having grown up in England, it was very challenging to understand many concepts: when frosts came, or how the shadows change with the seasons, when seeds go in the ground, which seedlings should be planted under cover or sown directly and so much more!

Working the land I’ve seen birds fly above my head, and bees asleep on flowers. I’ve even driven a digger! I’ve met so many interesting people, made new friends and right now the possibilities feel endless.

Yalham from old English, ‘ewelm’, means springhead and for me the farm is a wonderful beginning, a large part of a greater design.

Our Vision

Looking ahead to the future we are aware of the huge impact the flower industry has on our planet.  We want to promote the benefits of buying locally grown produce, we aim to do this by introducing as many customers as possible to our beautiful flowers.

We've created a collective of local flower growers, committed to the same ethos, who can provide flowers to a wholesale market, with the care and attention you find with local growers, passionate about their craft.
